Men, yes, men. They are the “they” referred to in the subject of this entry. It’s a quote from The Golden Girls, one of my all time favorite tv shows, and I find it to be completely true.

And not just about sex, I think it refers to the overall nature of men, whether it relates to sex, work or relationships in general.

I am so incredibly glad to have been born a girl when I was instead of like 50 or 60 years earlier. Even though my generation has it so much better than my mother’s or my grandmother’s, women still have it tougher than men.

I know who I am and what I’m capable of. I can only control what I do and I always want what I do to be great. So yes, I am ambitious, I want to be the best at what I do and I want people to recognize that. I think the fact that I am a girl fuels me to want to do more. So I say thank you to all of the egotistical, full-of-themselves, alpha males out there who irk me and push me to want to kick more ass everyday.
